Privacy policy

Short version: the only personal information this site collects is what you type into the contact form, it comes straight to my email so I can reply to you, and I don't sell it or add you to any list.

Who this is

Daniel Solutions is a one-person website studio run by Brayden Daniel in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you have any question about this policy or about information you've sent me, email hello@danielsolutions.ca or call 403 472 8904.

What I collect

Only what you choose to submit through the contact form on this site:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you choose to give it (it's optional)
  • Your business name and the type of business you run
  • Whatever you write in the message field

If you email or call me directly instead, I have whatever you send in that message. I don't collect anything else. There are no accounts on this site, and nothing here asks you to log in.

Why I collect it, and what I do with it

One reason only: to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to build and deliver your website.

I don't sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for marketing. I won't add you to a newsletter or a mailing list. If you contact me and we don't end up working together, that's the end of it. You won't get drip emails from me.

Who else touches it

Two services are involved in getting your message to me, and nothing more:

  • Web3Forms processes the contact form submission and forwards it to my inbox. Their privacy policy is at web3forms.com/privacy.
  • Google (Gmail) hosts the inbox your message arrives in.

This site is hosted on Vercel, which like every web host keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and reliability. I don't use those logs to identify or track individual visitors.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, and as of the date at the top of this page it runs no analytics and no advertising or remarketing trackers. Nothing here follows you around the internet.

I may add basic analytics or Google Ads conversion measurement in future so I can tell which ads are worth running. If I do, I'll update this page before it goes live and say plainly what's being measured.

How long I keep it

Enquiries live in my email inbox. I keep them while there's a reasonable chance we'll do business, and for client projects I keep the correspondence for the life of the project plus a few years for tax and record-keeping reasons. If you'd rather I didn't, see below.

Your choices

Email hello@danielsolutions.ca any time and I will, at your request:

  • Tell you what I hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete it
  • Stop contacting you entirely

No form to fill in and no reason required. Under Canada's anti-spam legislation you can withdraw consent to be contacted at any time, and any commercial email I send you will have a way to unsubscribe in it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Meaningful changes, like adding tracking of any kind, will happen here first and take effect after.

Plain-language summary. You fill in a form, it emails me, I reply. That's the whole thing. Nothing is sold, nothing follows you around, and one email gets you deleted.
